Beware of flying golf balls and uneven ground under foot. Management will not accept any liability for injury or damage to persons or property, howsoever caused.

These Rules have been reviewed and agreed on by Wagga Golf Centre. (Updated 1/7/2023)

1. The Running of all Wagga Par 3 Golf Competition Days is the responsibility of WAGGA PAR 3 COMPETITION COMMITTEE, (Committee will be made up of employees and volunteers)

2. Number of players needed for a Competition to be held: 10
Number of players needed for a Runner-up to be recognised: 15

3. Competition golfers should arrive 15 minutes prior to the competition beginning so a draw can be held.
Players are asked to contact the Golf Centre if they are running late – this will help with the finalisation of the draw.
Groups are to be 2 – 4 players

4. All game day fees must be paid and names of golfers participating must be included on the Competition Sheet prior to them commencing play.

5. The rules of golf that apply at Wagga Wagga Par 3 & Driving Range are the FIPPA Rules 4 th Edition effective 1st April, 2020 and all local rules already established at Wagga Golf Centre.

6. NO PENALTY: Drop within 2 club lengths of nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole.
If you land within 1 club length of the sidewall of the greenkeeper’s shed facing the 18 th Green.
If you land in garden beds near the 8 th and 14 th fairways.
If you land in any Tee Off areas – including if there is a mis-hit when teeing off.
If you land on water valve boxes or sprinkler heads around the course.
If you land on the wrong green.
If you land on the cement path in front of the garden bed behind the 9th Green.
If your land on any area deemed as Ground Under Repair (GUR)
Drop Zones will be in play where required.

7. IN PLAY – PENALTY 1 SHOT: Drop within 2 club lengths of nearest point of relief, no nearer to hole.
All boundary fences are in play. If required take a drop – penalty 1 shot.
All tree stumps are in play. If required take a drop – penalty 1 shot.

8. OUT OF BOUNDS – (TO BE PLAYED FROM PREVIOUS SHOT) – Penalty 1 shot. (Count out of bounds shot, next shot + 1 shot penalty)
Outside the boundary fences.
From the back of the 1 st Tee off area in a direct line past the Practice Putting Green (which is out of bounds) to the back of the cement path in front of the garden beds, around the back of the 10 th Tee Off area and across in front of the gardens to the side wall of the Greenkeepers Shed and across to the fence.
Between the back wall of the Greenkeepers Shed and the fence.
Players may hit a provisional ball if unsure of first ball location.

9. To obtain a handicap to play in NETT COMPETITION, 3 Cards must be submitted within a 3 month period to OFFICE STAFF. Cards must be marked/signed and received by Wagga Wagga Par 3 & Driving Range office staff (18 holes must be completed each time)
Handicaps do not have to be obtained during competition games.
Any SOCIAL/COMP game scorecard handed in will be accepted towards obtaining a handicap.
Handicaps will remain active for 12 months from the last recorded game played.

10. All Pitch & Putt golfers from APPA affiliated Golf Clubs are welcome to join in our competitions using their home club handicap.

11. The hole-in-one Money Hole, the nearest to the pin money, along with the player with the best score who participates, are local incentives and are for the benefit of those golfers who play at Wagga Wagga Par 3 & Driving Range. This can only be won on a comp declared day within a competition (10 or more players), unless otherwise stated by COMP OFFICIALS.
NETT – can only be won by competition golfers with a current Handicap.
GROSS – can be won by any Golfer on the Competition Day.
PRIZE MONEY – any prize money is all part of the COMP FEES.
HOLE-IN-ONE – the winner takes all unless there are 2 or more winners, the money will be split evenly.

12. Hole-in-One on the Money Hole can only be won on a comp declared day, a competition must be held (10 or more players), unless otherwise stated by “COMP OFFICIALS”
Comp Fees must be paid, hole-in-one fee is part of the Comp Fees.
If two or more people get a hole-in-one on the Money Hole on the same competition day the money is to be shared equally between these players.

13. The hole-in-one Money Hole can only be won if witnessed by 2 other golfers from Wagga Wagga Par 3 & Driving Range in the same competition. Hole- in-One Money Hole will alternate between the 1st, 9th & 10th Holes only.

14. Hole-in-One Badges are to be given out on Competition Days to players each time they get a HIO: e.g. if they get 3 holes in one in one comp game then they get 3 badges. Badges can only be won on a comp declared day within a competition (10 or more players).
